All Hail King Nick
North Team Manager Nick Jacobsen is coming in hot for this years King of the Air competition, looking for a chance to regain the prestigious African trophy. King of the Air is one the biggest kiteboarding events in the industry and definitely not for the faint hearted.
Nick took home his first title in 2017 against other household names such as Aaron Hadlow and Ruben Lenten.
Looking to regain his title in 2018, Nick had his eyes on the prize. However Nick broke the fibula in his right leg a few weeks before the event - an injury which required surgery to fix.
Nick is currently the only athlete in the world with a set of North prototype kites, he’ll be using these to take on the best of the best at King of the Air.
Nick calls South Africa his second home and has been visiting since he was 6 years old. He’s well accustomed to the wind and weather conditions in Cape Town.
